Services Provided
Assessment of medical patients who need to be seen earlier than an urgent speciality OP, except those that require urgent resuscitation or treatment in A&E.
The unit receives patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Patients with possible DVT are now seen in AECU or A&E. A complete venous thromboembolism protocol is now in place.
